Milestone 7 of 9 Trading with Northern Ireland

Move food under the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme

Needed if you move or sell food for final consumption in Northern Ireland.

The Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme (NIRMS) is for businesses that move or sell food for final consumption in Northern Ireland, such as retailers, pubs and restaurants, wholesalers supplying smaller shops, and public sector caterers. The business sending the goods in Great Britain and the business receiving them in Northern Ireland must both register, and each registers only once.

Some food products moving under NIRMS must carry individual labels saying 'Not for EU'. Where products are not individually labelled, label the box or crate.
