• Prepare a written statement of aims and objectives

• Appoint a registered manager if you are not running the service full-time

• Keep records of service users, employees, and care operations

• Submit care service return to regulator every 12 months

Notification of death, illness and other events

• Notify the Care Commission without delay of deaths, serious injuries, outbreaks, thefts and misconduct allegations

Notice of absence

• Notify the Care Commission if the manager will be absent for 28 days or more

Notice of changes

• Notify the Commission of changes to provider, manager, premises or ownership

Complaints

• Establish and operate a complaints procedure for service users
