Once you have addressed the problems identified in your inspection report, you can request a re-inspection from your local authority. There is a fee (around 219 to 255 pounds, charged by the local authority), and there is no limit on the number of re-rating requests — but you must show genuine improvements have been made each time. Make sure all improvements are genuinely embedded in your daily routine before requesting — the re-inspection is a full assessment, not a quick check.

A re-inspection that finds the same problems will not improve your rating. Take time to address every issue, train your staff, and maintain consistent records for at least a few weeks before applying.
