Journey Step 2 of 6
Step 2: Display your rating at your premises
Under the Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Act 2013, you must display your rating sticker in a conspicuous place where customers can see it before entering or choosing to use your business. The sticker must be the official version issued by your local authority. Removing, hiding, or defacing the sticker is an offence. If you have received a new rating, you must replace the old sticker promptly.
Failure to display is a criminal offence
Local authorities can issue fixed penalty notices to businesses that fail to display their rating sticker. Repeated non-compliance may lead to prosecution.
