Step 4: Meet RISCA 2016 compliance requirements
RISCA 2016 sets out the standards your service must meet across governance, staffing, environment, and care delivery. Unlike the old prescriptive regime, RISCA 2016 focuses on whether your service achieves good outcomes for people. You will need policies, procedures, and evidence demonstrating how you meet each requirement.
If your service operates in an area where Welsh Language Standards apply, or if service users prefer to communicate in Welsh, you should plan for bilingual service delivery from the outset.
