The Visitor Accommodation (Register and Levy) Etc. (Wales) Act 2025 gives local councils the power to charge a nightly levy on visitors staying in their area. Councils can choose whether to adopt the levy, but the rates are set nationally: 75p per adult per night in a tent on a camping pitch or a shared hostel room, and £1.30 per person per night for all other stays. If your council adopts it, you will be responsible for paying the levy to the WRA.
