If the Assessor refuses your proposal, or changes the value in a way you did not agree, you can usually appeal to the Local Taxation Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland within 28 days of the decision.

Do this now

The Tribunal tells you the date of any hearing Prepare your case — organise evidence, comparable data, and any professional reports Decide whether to represent yourself or instruct a surveyor or solicitor Attend the hearing and present your case The Tribunal issues its decision — if successful, your rateable value will be amended and overpaid rates refunded
