These requirements apply to all business activities in this division.
Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 — general duties

Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
General duty to protect employees and others affected by the work — cleaning, grounds and facilities operatives work on others' premises, so duties to non-employees are central. Devolved: separate enforcement in NI under the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978.
Employers' Liability Insurance

Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969
Compulsory for any business employing at least one person. These are labour-intensive activities, so it almost always applies.
UK GDPR + Data Protection Act 2018
Enforced by ICO
Data Protection Act 2018; UK GDPR (retained EU law)
Applies to any business processing personal data — staff, clients, key-holding records, CCTV on managed sites. ICO registration unless specifically exempt.

No discrimination, harassment or victimisation in employment or in services to clients. Relevant to a largely contract-staffed, often migrant workforce.
