What NIEA does
Northern Ireland's environmental regulator. Part of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). Issues environmental permits, regulates waste and emissions, protects water quality and natural heritage. Designates and manages protected sites (ASSIs).
