What NCSC does
Part of GCHQ providing cyber security guidance and support to UK organisations. Develops and promotes the Cyber Essentials scheme, provides incident response support, and publishes guidance on cyber threats. Not a regulator but sets standards and provides certification schemes.
Cyber Essentials certification required for many government contracts. Also operates Active Cyber Defence services.
