What Education Workforce Council does
Regulates the education workforce in Wales: maintains the register of education practitioners, receives agent reports under regulation 46 of the Education Workforce Council (Main Functions) (Wales) Regulations 2015, and exercises fitness-to-practise functions under the Education (Wales) Act 2014. Successor to the General Teaching Council for Wales (from 1 April 2015).
