What DAERA does

Northern Ireland departmental authority for agriculture, environmental policy, rural affairs, fisheries and veterinary matters. Acts as the NI competent authority for plant protection products under EU Regulation 1107/2009 (as it applies to NI under the Windsor Framework), pesticide use, animal health and welfare, and rural payments. Parent department of NIEA and the NI Veterinary Service.
