Duties on businesses under the Regulation

  • Complete and sign Section 4 of the journey log after each single-transporter journey uri:annex/2/division/10.
  • Complete and sign Section 4 of the journey log during multi-transporter animal transport uri:annex/2/division/11.
  • Complete approved training and pass exam for animal transport uri:annex/iv/division/1
  • Comply with journey time limits and provide rest periods for animals transported by sea uri:annex/i/chapter/v/division/1/division/1.7
  • Do not transport animals by train beyond the legal journey time limits uri:annex/i/chapter/v/division/1/division/1.6
  • Ensure welfare of animals during transport (space, ventilation, water, feed, rest) uri:annex/i/chapter/iii/division/2
