General provisions on the protection of animals in transport
- Transport animals without causing injury or unnecessary suffering and comply with relevant Schedules
Space allowance
- Ensure adequate space for animals during transport over 50 km
Treatment of sick animals
- If animals fall ill or are injured during transport, give first aid and get veterinary treatment
Feeding and watering, travelling times and rest periods
- Ensure animals are fed, watered and rested during transport
Accompaniment of vertebrate animals by competent persons
