If you receive a compliance notice or enforcement action

Licensing Standards Officer (alcohol): LSOs can issue compliance notices and report matters to the Licensing Board. Cooperate and address issues promptly.
Licensing Board review: The Board can review your premises licence at any time. You will be invited to a hearing where you can present your case.
Council enforcement (STL): Your council can revoke or refuse to renew your STL licence if you breach conditions.

If you face enforcement action, consider seeking legal advice. Your local Licensing Standards Officer can also provide guidance on how to remedy compliance issues before they escalate.

Read the compliance notice or enforcement letter carefully and note the deadline
Address the specific issues raised (safety certificates, operating conditions, training)
Respond in writing to the enforcing body confirming the steps you have taken
Keep copies of all correspondence, certificates, and evidence of compliance
If invited to a Licensing Board hearing, attend and bring evidence that you have resolved the issues
